Old Poem: Can Awaken

 Old Poem: "Can Awaken"

It was the misty song that disappeared in the middle of the night

It was a lonely figure lost in a dream

All crossing valves have been opened in the wind

The brightest stars rush to the moment

Can awaken the sleeping heart under the bodhi tree,

The souls imprisoned under the fence

By Weixia Weiye /Vicha Viye LL

Note: I wrote this little poem when I was 15 years old, and it talks about the "bodhi tree". I want to say that Buddhist culture has a profound influence on us.

The original poem is "The sleeping Bodhi tree", because it doesn't read well with the following connection, so it was changed to "The sleeping heart under the Bodhi tree" (meaning the sleeping heart under the Bodhi tree, Fang, the meaning of fragrance, usually used as a girl's name, used as a metaphor for female heart)

At that time, I watched a movie, similar to the current ghost movies, so the beginning of this poem has a kind of "ghost atmosphere" meaning. This poem was written because of the emotion I felt after watching the movie. The reason why I thought of writing "Bodhi tree" is that this Buddhist concept is often used in our daily life to relieve some emotions and to achieve a kind of peace of mind. ( This is a concept of liberation, which is a Buddhist idea of detaching oneself from emotional worries and sufferings and transcending oneself first. )

Weixia Weiye /Vicha Viye LL
